Physique by Kasia has teamed up with Parkinson Canada to teach this scientifically proven and revolutionary technique that gives those living with Parkinson's the tools to manage symptoms better, carry out everyday tasks more effectively and reduce depression. This workshop also provides caregivers with the tools for their own self care as they learn how to use their bodies in a more easeful, healthy way while caring for their loved ones. Parkinson's & the Alexander Technique is a posture and alignment method that teaches us that our “backbone” – literally our strength, resilience and agility – is found in our spine, the place where we can rediscover ease and empowerment, and let go of pain, discomfort or dis-ease. In this program we will learn the 3 secret superpowers that help us to stand, sit, walk, eat and talk with more freedom and ease, and to rediscover a relaxed body that is more resilient, poised and graceful throughout our day.
Cancellation Policy
Because spots are limited in the "Parkinson's and the Alexander Technique" course, if you are unable to attend a session you must notify me in advance or risk forfeiting your spot to someone on the waiting list. To cancel or re-schedule any other ongoing class such as "Restorative Stretch" or "Poised Pilates", please contact us 24 hours in advance. To cancel or re-schedule any private 1 on 1 session such as "I've Got Your Back" please contact us 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the session. Thank you for your understanding.
